STRENGTH
Sensitive Skin Type: If you have sensitive skin we recommend building the tolerance of Glycolic Acid by using a product that contains a 10% or 20% strength of Glycolic Acid that can be used daily over a week. This will allow your skin to adapt and is the safest way to allow your skin to get used to the peel before commencing to a peel of 30% - 40% strength and above.
Insensitive Skin Type: If you have normal skin which can tolerate this kind of treatment you may start on a 20% - 30% peel. Please remember - a patch test must be carried out 48 hours before commencing the full peel. We would never recommend starting a higher concentration if you have never had a chemical skin peel before.
If your in doubt about which strength is right for you, please don't hesitate to contact us for more information about which strength is suitable for you. 40% and above should be used with caution by experienced people who have used exfoliants before.
